Andrew Chan

Assistant General Manager, Digital Business, Smart Airport, Airport Authority Hong Kong

Andrew drives a number of innovative initiatives to shape the future of Hong Kong International Airport. He works with innovative digital communities, startup hubs, academia and technologists to develop many airport specific applications including multi-purposes patrol robot, autonomous electric tractor, artificial intelligence (AI), chatbot and so on. He joined the aviation industry since 2008, he has extensive experience in system development, project management and strong entrepreneurship mindset to create new passenger experience.

To keep abreast of digital economy trend, he is now responsible for utilizing the technology platforms (e.g. FinTech, InsuranceTech and TravelTech) to link up emerging technology to create futuristic business for the airport partners and passengers.

Tuan Phan

Associate Professor of Marketing, University of Hong Kong Business School

Dr. Tuan Q. Phan is an Associate Professor at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) Business School, in the Marketing Area and in Innovation & Information Management (IIM) Area. His research uses large and population-size datasets and spans multiple disciplines including economics, marketing, consumer behavior, computer science, and statistics. His expertise covers various industries including FinTech, retail and e-commerce, logistics and transportation, social media, news and video media, technology and consumer products, and education. His research has been published in leading scientific and management journals including the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science (PNAS), Havard Business School Publishing (HBSP), Marketing Science, Journal of Marketing Research (JMR), and Information Systems Research (ISR). Dr. Phan was previously at National University of Singapore (NUS) for nine years where we received tenure in the Department of Information Systems & Analytics (School of Computing), and the Department of Analytics and Operations (Business School). He was also a Research Team Lead at the Institute of Application of Learning Science and Educational Technology, and affiliated with the Business Analytics Centre. He received his doctorate from Harvard Business School, and an undergraduate from MIT. He is also an entrepreneur, expert witness, sits on the boards of several companies, and frequently consults industry leaders.

 

Jerrel Leung

Chief Architect and Co-Founder, ubiZense

Jerrel Leung is the Chief Architect and Co-Founder of ubiZense and he is responsible for designing AI-based analytics leveraging on IoT-enabled big data. He has over 10 years of experience in the IoT field and he led a project to fully RFID enable an end-to-end supply chain. Prior to joining ubiZense, Jerrel was a Research Assistant Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and he has taken upon several project management positions at renowned international organizations. A recent project led by Jerrel has received a grand and gold award at the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2019 and an award at the WITSA Global ICT Excellence Award 2019. Jerrel’s aim is to design IoT solutions to automatically capture organizational performance data and leverage AI models to make sense out of the vast amount of Big Data.

Cheuk Lo

Head of Customer Relationships, Asia Miles Limited

As Head of Customer Relationships, Cheuk Lo manages the entire customer lifecycle, driving the customer marketing strategy to recruit and retain members, and optimising the customer lifetime value.

Cheuk joined Cathay Pacific Airways in 2002 and enrolled in the Cathay Pacific Management Trainee Programme in 2006. He has worked in various commercial and outport roles in Hong Kong, Bangkok, Penang and Vancouver. Since August 2018, he has headed the Customer Loyalty team responsible for Marco Polo Club and Registered Accounts.

He is a graduate of Queens University, Canada, where he attained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a Professional Internship. Keen on outdoor pursuits, Cheuk is particularly interested in jogging, golfing and playing basketball.

He has been a member of Asia Miles since 2001.
