David Cheong

Manager, Customer Service, Terminal Operations Department, Airport Authority Hong Kong

David Cheong is the Manager, Customer Service, Terminal Operations Department of Airport Authority Hong Kong and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computing & Networking. He joined the department in 1998 and has over 20 years of substantial experience in managing different terminal services, facilities and projects in relation to terminal operations, contract management, leasing, licensing, customer service and estate management.

Kevin Lee

Manager, Estate Management, Terminal Operations Department, Airport Authority Hong Kong 

Kevin has over 17 years of experience in the aviation industry. He is responsible for the facility management and infrastructural projects development at HKIA and aspires to provide excellent travel experience to passengers.

He has been actively involved in the terminal transformation project in HKIA which completely revamps the boarding gates with refreshed décor, new services offerings, multimedia experience and digital art to redefine travel experience at HKIA with innovations and technology.

 

Trish Liu

Assistant Manager, Digital Business, Smart Airport Department, Airport Authority Hong Kong 

With experience in the aviation industry for over 8 years, Trish is specialized in digital platforms development and business development. As the Assistant Manager, Smart Airport, she has been actively involved in passenger-facing and workforce mobile app development, focusing on user experience and system design to enhance user experience and improve operation efficiency with innovative solutions. She also has experience in digital retail platform before working with Airport Authority.

Hercules Lai

Assistant Manager, Future Travel Experience, Smart Airport Department, Airport Authority Hong Kong

Hercules started his career as Management Trainee at the Airport Authority Hong Kong in 2017. He has been working under Future Travel Experience section of the Smart Airport Department since 2019. He has also been actively involved in creating change management and promoting innovation within the organization. 

During the years, he has led the team in the implementation of various critical and innovative projects at Hong Kong International Airport to redefine passenger experience and enhance operational excellence. Projects include the implementation of Flight Token travel, which uses facial recognition technology to replace repetitive travel document check along the departure checkpoints. The project was lately honored the ICT Award of the Year 2022, together with the Grand Award of the ICT Smart Mobility category, and Gold Award of ICT Smart Mobility (Smart Transport) category.

Martina Wang

Manager, Digital Platforms, Hong Kong Express

Martina Wang is a proactive professional with 10+ years of experience and proven knowledge of developing business needs in digital transformation and Passenger Solution System integration projects in airline industry. Certificated by IATA AvMP.

Sam Lau

Specialist, Passenger Service System, Hong Kong Express

Sam Lau is currently serving as Specialist, Passenger Service System at HK Express.

Sam started his career in the aviation industry since 2016 with handling passenger services and airport operations. With the experience in using Departure Control System, Sam joined HK Express in 2019 as Officer, System Development under Ground Operations Section. Sam was responsible for working with system integration projects of different Smart Airport Tools in HKIA, which included Self-boarding Gate, iCUSS and Self-bag-drop. 

In 2022, Sam changed his position into Digital Experience and Innovation Section, where he managed the reservation system suite of the airline. Sam is also professional in data analysis and project management with his current position.

Sam earned his Advanced Master’s Degree in Air Transport Management from Ecole Nationale de l’Aviation Civile, as well as Bachelor of Science Degree in Hong Kong Baptist University.

Jonathan Song

Global Business Development Director, Plaza Premium Group

Spearheading the business development division, Jonathan Song is responsible for leading the feasibility studies and market analysis on potential global airport hospitality business opportunities for Plaza Premium Group, driving the process of tender submission, contract negotiation, and managing business partner relationships. He is a strong advocate of the ‘EY Global Next Generation’ programme which nurtures the next generation of business leaders and being a travel and sports enthusiast, Jonathan cultivates vast interests in activities such as sailing, rugby, and trail running.

Jeffrey Lam

Global Accounts Manager, Plaza Premium Group

Jeffrey is the Global Accounts Manager of Plaza Premium Group in Hong Kong. He is responsible to drive business and global partnership with different airports and brands. During his tenure with the Business Development department, he led several major projects such as opening of Plaza Premium Lounge in Helsinki, Finland and in Dallas Fort Worh, United States of America. Prior to joining Plaza Premium Group, he served as Marketing Analyst at Polar Air Cargo managing performance and yield strategy execution and daily operations.

Eugene Lee

Vice President, Made-to-Measure Apparel, TAL Apparel

Eugene is currently working at TAL Apparel as the Vice President of Made-to-Measure Apparel. He spent a total of 6 years managing production for TAL in China and Vietnam with roles as Factory Manager and Operations Director. Prior to that, he worked as a strategy consultant at Fletcher Spaght, a Boston-based consulting firm for high tech companies for 3 years. He earned his MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, and his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Eddie Hui

MIT Hong Kong Innovation Node Technologist-in-Residence | Lenovo Digital Innovations Lead

Eugene is currently working at TAL Apparel as the Vice President of Made-to-Measure Apparel. He spent a total of 6 years managing production for TAL in China and Vietnam with roles as Factory Manager and Operations Director. Jeffry Wicaksana

Co-founder, StockPeek

Jeffry joined MEMSI in 2017 and came back as a TA in 2018. He loves building and talking to potential customers and uncovering their hidden need (mostly getting kicked in the gut for having the wrong assumptions). Currently, he is pursuing his PhD on privacy preserving medical image analysis, aiming to deploy a no-code plug-and-play tool for clinicians and laymen. On the side, he is building a community-based platform to construct financial product.
